Immigration country fact: Germany is home for a little over 1% of the world population. The fact that so many immigrants move to Germany used to be seen as a burden – now it turns out to be a blessing. Thanks to the small numbers of children per woman in Germany we now need up to 6.5 million skilled immigrants until 2025.
