Advertising in 45 countries throughout the world, we’re already attracting 45 million visitors to our website every months, and we’re growing fast! To ensure we stay a trend setter, we’re constantly analysing and adapting our marketing campaigns. As a Data Analyst, you’ll be in charge of adapting our algorithms and translating rapidly-changing business needs to SQL queries. And all this, while working at trivago speed. Key responsibilities:
Analyse complex interactions that help us understand and maximise return on investment for our Google marketing campaigns with over 300 million keywords.
Build reports, dashboards and metrics to monitor and interpret the performance of our Google campaigns in over 45 countries and understand their impact on business.
Evaluate and continuously improve our algorithm for marketing campaign optimisation to adapt to rapidly changing business-needs. Our Time to Market is 1 Day!
Work closely with your team of marketing professionals to translate business needs from non-technical requests into technical solutions (SQL queries).
Rigorous testing of marketing campaign optimisation algorithms in various markets globally.
As a super-user of our marketing campaign tool, you offer expert advice to marketing professionals on how to maximise the potential of the tool to optimise their national Google campaigns.
Continously develop expertise in relevant BI concepts, methods and technology. We want you to grow personally as fast as we’re growing globally!
Your profile:
You have a degree in computer science, maths, business informatics or related field. Other majors are welcome to apply, but please emphasise your qualitative skills in your cover letter.
Obviously, you’re a master of analytical and quantitative thinking. Excel, R or other statistical tools are your best friends, and you love showing off how well you understand the data – not just processing it.
You’re able to write complex and fast SQL queries. MySQL knowledge would be a great plus!
You speak English (company language) fluently.
Prior experience with online advertising would be helpful. Experience working with big data sets, data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) would be even better!
You’ll be working closely with Marketing gurus – so you’ll need to be able to talk non-analytics to explain complex maths in a simple and understandable way.
You are focused, determined and result driven – and are willing to push yourself in order to reach your objective.
