IT Salaries in Germany have risen slightly in 2013. The average IT professional earns only 1% more than last year, reports German “Handelsblatt”. This is surprising, since the “Fachkräftemangel” (lack of skilled employees) is getting worse, says the newspaper. Personalmarkt Services GmbH, a salary advisor, shows a wide salary gap between IT professionals in different industries. Just switching from medical services to the mechanical engineering industry can add 20.000 EUR to an IT professionals salary.
