Here is what I learned while coaching over 100 professionals from around the globe. People are unbelievable smart. Don’t ever try to tell them what to do. Help them figure out for themselves, how to best achieve their goals. They all find their solutions.
This needs empathy.
You also need humility. “One size fits all” is dead. Customers want what is right, just for them. Don’t try to push your product, your worldview, your lifestyle on them.
Here is your change to be indispensable. Become the linchpin that connects your boss to a certain type of customers. Become the expert who understands this lovely weirdos – and be the genius who is humble enough to sell them what they want – instead of what you want.
